Have Centered, Will (Rock) Session!

Taking time to center before and after a coaching session is the best way to bring your Highest Self forward.

But what do I mean by "centering"? I mean bringing your focus to the present moment, letting go of energies from the past or future, and inviting your intuition & Highest Self to shine through.

Sounds nice, right? It is!

Here's what has worked for me:

  1. About five minutes before your next session, stand up. Preferably face out a window or even go outside.
  2. Close your eyes, slightly bend your knees, and let your body settle and feel grounded.
  3. Imagine roots are shooting out of your feet and deep into the Earth.
  4. Breathe in the top of your head and say in your mind, "I breathe in the PRESENT."
  5. Breathe out your feet – through those roots in ground that you imagined –  and say, "I breath out the PAST and the FUTURE."
  6. Repeat that breathing pattern 2-3 times.
  7. Breathe in the top of your head and say in your mind, "I breathe in my HIGHEST SELF."
  8. Breath out your feet -- through the roots in ground -- "I breath out that which is NOT my HIGHEST SELF."
  9. Repeat that breathing pattern 2-3 times.
  10. And that's it! If there are other qualities that you want to invite into your being, breathe that quality in through the top of your head and breath out that which is NOT that quality.

Start with that, and you'll be ready to rock your session from the present moment with your Highest Self guiding you at every step!

But what to do after the session? This is another opportunity to re-center and ground yourself.

I've found it's helpful to finish my notes, and then I repeat steps 1-6. By coming back to the present once more, I let go of "should've" or "could've" thoughts that tend to creep up when a session is complete.
